The Huntertown Cross Country team is forming now!  If your child enjoys running and would like to be a part of this year’s team, please complete this Google Form by August 18, 2026.

 

PRACTICES

To avoid overlapping with Glitter Cheer, practices will be on Mondays and Fridays.  Because of Labor Day, we will have one practice on a Wednesday (Spetember 9th).  Practices will begin immediately after school and end at 3:30.  When a XC meet falls on a Friday, we will not have practice. 

Students will be running outside, so please make sure your child has comfortable clothing, appropriate shoes, and a water bottle on days we have practice.  If the weather isn’t cooperating, we will move practice indoors. 

Please add our practices to your calendar:

  • August 24, 28, 31
  • September 4, 9, 14, 16, 21 
  • *no practice on 9/18 due to a race on 9/17

 

MEETS

All cross country races are on a 1 mile grass course in which students race against individuals of the same grade. We will participate in the Otter Classic (9/11), Husky Hustle (9/17), and Cougar Chase (9/25). No transportation will be provided by Huntertown to any race.

 

*PARENTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SIGNING THEIR CHILD UP FOR ALL RACES* There is a fee for each race your student participates in. It is not required for your student to participate in these races in order to be on our team. More information on registering for these races will be sent through ParentSquare once our roster is set. 

 

T-SHIRT ORDERS

We have created an online store with Premier Sportswear for ordering t-shirts.  You can view our store here: Team Store.  The store is open now until Sunday, August 30th at 11:59 p.m.  All orders will be delivered to Huntertown. 

The cost of the shirt is $16.00.  For an additional $6 (completley optional), you can add a name to the back of teh shirt.  Each coach plans on having his/her last name printed on the back.  You will also see additional items available for purchase.  Please note that we are only asking you to purchase the item labeled “REQUIRED TEAM SHIRT.” 

Feel free to order any of the items for yourself or others!  We love to see our families sporting Huntertown gear!
